Dave Hubenak

General Counsel

Dave has nearly 20 years of experience in the energy industry, with legal and compliance leadership across midstream and downstream oil and gas, including expertise in DOE permitting, NEPA compliance, and Canadian export regulations. As General Counsel, he oversees the company’s legal strategy, compliance, and governance matters. His background includes General Counsel roles at Tesco Corporation, Gulf Coast Asphalt Company, and Gravity Midstream, which he co-founded, followed by nearly six years as SVP & General Counsel at Pin Oak Holdings. He joined Spotlight Energy as Senior Vice President & General Counsel in 2023, a role he also holds across Spotlight Power, Nokota Gas Processing, OneLNG, and Virtual Pipeline Ventures, and serves as Chief Compliance Officer at Pierview Capital. Dave holds his law degree from South Texas College of Law.
