Chief Executive Officer

Jake has 23 years of experience in the natural gas and energy industry. As Chief Executive Officer, he sets Spotlight’s strategic direction, prioritizes growth opportunities, and oversees key initiatives and partnerships, working closely with the executive team on day-to-day operations and major decisions involving staffing, risk, cash flow, credit, banking relationships, trading, and origination. He began his career in 2003 with Infinite Energy, then served as Gas Supply Manager at MXenergy and Director of Wholesale Trading at Texla Energy Management before founding Spotlight Energy in 2015. Under his leadership, Spotlight has grown into one of the largest privately held, independent physical natural gas trading companies in the U.S. Jake also manages and holds ownership interests in several companies, serving as CEO of Virtual Pipeline Ventures, Spotlight Power, CK Holdings, Nokota Gas Processing, and Pierview Capital. He is also involved in the governance and strategic direction of OnePWR Solutions, OneLNG, and Field Industries through board service and equity ownership. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida.
